DESCRIPTION:Tired of rising supermarket prices for global food? Our food now travels over 1\,500 miles to Utah supermarket shelves amidst escalating war. What’s more is that Utah now grows less than 3% of its produce needs\, with similar shortages of protein and grains. Over 25 million people actually starved during WW II as they grew insufficient food and supply chains were disrupted by war. Famine is a real concern…right here in Utah!\nSage & Plow and Heartland Farms CSA are unique local companies that have joined forces to confront this problem. Linking local farmers and uniting food suppliers\, they’re bringing reliable local food to Utah consumers. Without costly and vulnerable supply chains\, costs are lower and quality is far higher.\nWe’ll be holding a food planning meeting at the Sage Center\, 675 South 500 East\, American Fork at 5:00 on Thursday\, January 16.
