Recap of the April Preparedness Fair

In April we were delighted to host our second semi-annual Preparedness Fair, our first being in October of last year. We also hosted an annual Health and Wellness Fair in January. While October had an emphasis on harvesting and preserving food, this most recent fair included an emphasis on gardening and producing food.

There are so many things we love about these fairs, including:

*Being able to provide quality classes from local experts on so many topics. We’re always impressed with the knowledge they share and thrill to be able to provide a forum where you can learn from them, too, in interactive, hands-on classes.

*Introducing you to many of our vendors through the vendor booths. This is a great opportunity to learn from those who know our products best, as well as a prime time to try samples.

*Providing entertainment. This time specifically, we were able to focus on Easter and the 250th anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord and Paul Revere’s ride, with classes, games for the kids, an Easter Egg hunt, etc.

*Bringing in new products. These fairs provide a great time to introduce new products. We always love to expand our offerings, especially when they come from recommendations from you.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us for this fair. We’re working to fill in our calendar between fairs, too, to provide regular classes, vendor booths, and samples throughout the year. Be watching for all of those opportunities.

At Sage and Plow, we believe that education is key to being self-reliant and prepared, and to living well. As Benjamin Franklin said, “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” (The Way To Wealth, 1758) Come join us for these chances to invest in and expand your knowledge.
