Equipment

  • 1 large stockpot

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups sugar you can use honey
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks full-sized
  • 8 allspice berries
  • 10 cloves
  • 1 whole piece dried ginger root
  • 4 cups orange juice
  • 2 cups lemon juice
  • 2 quarts apple cider

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients in stockpot or crockpot. Simmer for 1 or more hours to allow flavors to marry.
  • When ready to serve, strain out the whole spices.
  • Serve warm.
