Aunt Chirine’s Firehouse Baked Beans
This might very well be the most requested recipe in our collection! As newlyweds, we invited friends for dinner. She brought this as a compliment to our dinner, and it stole the show! We are so grateful that she shared the recipe, as it has become a favorite among our family, extended family, friends and even total strangers. Here’s hoping it will put a big smile on YOUR face!

- 1 slow cooker
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 3/4 lb bacon
- 1 cup onion chopped
- 1 can kidney beans drained and rinsed
- 2 cans pork and beans
- 1 can butter beans
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup honey Any sweetener works–brown sugar, honey, molasses, coconut sugar, etc.
- 1 Tbsp liquid smoke
- 3 Tbsp Tbsps vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown bacon and hamburger together in slow cooker.
- Add other ingredients and slow cook at 300 degrees for 4-6 hours.
