Navigating Solar and Energy Storage
Math has never been my favorite subject. But it was actually really fun listening to Glen go through the formulas to convert the volts in a fridge or ay household appliance to the watts per hour of energy that takes; and then converting that number to how much you’re spending on your power bill.
Glen went over all the basics of energy, including these formulas, how AC and DC currents work, etc. Then he explained how solar panels and batteries work, and what happens when the grid goes down, ie. your solar panels will no longer work!
So Glen has a solution. He and his team have developed a brilliant back-up battery system that hooks into your solar system so you are storing and using the energy that your panels harvest and are not reliant on the grid. Really, this class was pretty fascinating!
And as usual, at the end of the class, one lucky participant was selected to go home with a portable solar panel for charging small devices in a pinch.

This class is a must for anyone interested in energy storage or who is looking at installing solar panels. Really, you want to know this information.
