Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2-3 stalks celery chopped
- 1 onion small, chopped
- 1 zucchini medium, shredded
- 1 bell pepper chopped
- 1 15-oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (we love homemade plum bbq sauce!)
- 3 Tbsp honey
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown ground beef, celery, onion, and bell pepper.
- Add zucchini and stir to incorporate.
- Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer, covered, 20 mins or so, stirring occasionally.
- If mixture appears too loose, remove the lid and let some of the moisture evaporate.
- Serve on buns with cheese.
