Layered Fiesta Bean Dip

This Recipe came with us from Hudson, Wisconsin when we moved to Utah over 25 years ago. It fast became a family favorite and is front and center at most of our holiday celebrations!

Seven-Layer Bean Dip

We honestly haven't met a seven-layer dip we like better than this one.

  • 1 can refried beans (large)
  • 3 avocados
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • garlic salt (to taste)

  • hot pepper sauce (to taste)
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 can pitted olives (chopped)
  • 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese (or taco cheese)
  1. On a plate, layer refried beans.

  2. Mash avocados and mix with lemon juice and garlic salt.

  3. Mix sour cream and mayonnaise together with salt, pepper, taco seasoning, and hot pepper sauce.

  4. Layer avocado mix on top of refried beans.

  5. Layer sour cream-mayonnaise mix on top of avocado mix.

  6. Top, in turn, with green onions, tomatoes, olives, and cheese.
