One of our customers shared this recipe with me many years ago. We've shared it with many of you. It is the best 16-Bean Soup we have ever tasted! Unique ingredients makes it a hit, even with young children!

  • 6 cups water
  • Ham or a Ham Bone
  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp lemon pepper
  • 2 stalks celery (chopped)
  • 4 Tbsp catsup
  • 1 16 oz can diced tomatoes

Slow Cooker Instructions

  1. Place beans, water, ham bone, salt, ginger, onion and garlic in a slow cooker. Bring to a simmer, and let simmer all day--heat should not be too low.

Pressure Cooker Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients into pressure cooker or insta pot, and pressure cook for 20-30 minutes or until beans are cooked.

Stove-top Instructions

  1. Wash mixed beans and soak overnight.

  2. Drain and add water, ham, salt, and ginger. Cook until beans are tender--about an hour.
